UNC rallies for win as Wake wilts

North Carolina’s 83-72 victory over Wake Forest offered clear examples of why these rivals are headed in opposite directions. The Demon Deacons lost their eighth straight ACC game and fell to 1-11 in league play. Leading 52-43 with 17:57 left, it appeared they would reverse the losing trend that soured a once-promising season. But that’s when a lack of leadership that has helped sap the team’s confidence met head on with an increasingly confident and maturing Tar Heels team. (Wilmington Star News)
