UNC Football Position Preview 2019: Defensive Line

North Carolina doesn’t possess the quality depth to run a rotation of 8-10 traditional defensive linemen after the graduations of Malik Carney, Jeremiah Clarke, Jalen Dalton, and Tyler Powell. Jay Bateman’s innovations and flexibility make the depth issues less glaring, but any improvement the line shows will be dictated by the Tar Heels’ health up front.
