Four Tar Heels Elected to North Carolina High School Track and Field Hall of Fame

A group of four Tar Heels were elected Monday into the second class of the North Carolina High School Track & Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame. Olympians Jim Beatty and Joan Nesbit Mabe join Dr. DeAnne Davis Brooks and Karen Godlock in earning this honor, with all four to be inducted at a ceremony in Winston-Salem on February 1.
