North Carolina-Kentucky remains an anticipated matchup
Posted Dec 3, 2005
Saturday's game between the 10th-ranked Wildcats and unranked North Carolina may not have the marquee value of previous years but still commands attention simply because of the tradition of the programs. Kentucky and North Carolina are first and second in all-time wins among NCAA Division I schools. Between them, the Wildcats and Tar Heels have 3,772 wins, 83 NCAA tournament appearances and 11 national championships - seven for Kentucky and four for North Carolina.
