Tar Heels coach remembers playing Duke as a player

John Bunting remembers a time before BCS standings and end-zone dances. A time when Nixon was president and beating Duke in football really meant something. It was 1971. North Carolina's head coach was a Tar Heels linebacker playing his final college regular-season game. He was still bitter about the 17-13 loss at Duke at the end of his sophomore season. As a senior, that short bus ride home would be much more enjoyable, as the Heels rolled, 38-0, at Wallace Wade Stadium.
