McGill pumps up UNC

North Carolina tailback will be reluctant to put away his sling even after he doesn't need it anymore. On Saturday, in his second game back from a torn chest muscle that caused him to miss four games, McGill rushed for 118 yards on 23 carries in a 7-5 victory against Virginia. That has nothing to do with the sling, which prevents McGill from extending his left arm back and straining his still-healing left pectoral muscle. McGill is becoming superstitious about the sling anyway. (Charlotte Observer)
