Ronnie McGill rushed for 118 yards on 23 carries and North Carolina's defense put together its best performance of the season as the Tar Heels upended No. 23 Virginia 7-5 at Kenan Stadium. North Carolina (3-3, 2-1 ACC), which was torched for 69 points two weeks ago at Louisville, held the Cavaliers to 199 total yards to help stop a three-game losing streak in the longtime series.
