The biggest and most important target for North Carolina football recruiting in the 2022 class is five-star defensive tackle Travis Shaw. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound prospect from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, N.C. is ranked the No. 7 overall recruit in the 2022 class, the No. 2 defensive tackle, and the No. 1 prospect in the state of North Carolina.
