Chiefs tackle Ryan Sims out six weeks with foot injury

Starting defensive tackle might miss the rest of the season, Kansas City Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil has acknowledged, because of a severe foot injury suffered on the first series of the team's season-opening victory over the New York Jets last week. "We lost for a minimum probably of six weeks, and it may be for the season, you never know," Vermeil said. "And he was really having a great camp and preseason. He was playing extremely well when he went down early." (ABC News)
