Kyle Ralph 1 step ahead

Growing up in Cincinnati, was always a grade or two ahead of kids his age. Despite pleas from friends and coaches, his parents never caved when it came to their son's education. Tim and Janice Ralph were warned Kyle's accelerated path through school would be difficult if he became an athlete; he would lack the physical maturity of the older students. His parents are confident they made the right decision. Saturday, he will start the second game of his senior season at right offensive guard for North Carolina. (Charlotte Observer)
