Ex-Creighton Recruit Confirms He De-Committed Due to McDermott's 'Plantation' Comments

Former Creighton basketball commit TyTy Washington confirmed, for the first time publicly that he de-committed because of coach Greg McDermott's "plantation" comments. “It was definitely the controversy,” the four-star point guard said. “I really wanted to attend Creighton. So it was kind of heartbreaking once I found out what he said." (Sports Illustrated)
