ACC solves schedule puzzle
Posted Aug 24, 2005
UNC's non-conference schedule includes a rematch with Illinois, the team the Heels defeated for the 2005 NCAA title in St. Louis. The Greensboro Coliseum attempted to secure the ACC-Big Ten Challenge meeting of the Heels and Illini as it did in 2003, but both schools said they had agreed to play in Chapel Hill because their first meeting in the series occurred on the Illinois campus. Other notable Carolina games are a date at Kentucky on Dec. 3 and a home game with Arizona on Jan. 28.
