Why Walker Kessler transferred from North Carolina to Auburn

Following a disappointing freshman season, former UNC center Walker Kessler decided to transfer from UNC to Auburn. Fans have their beliefs as to why Kessler transferred. But, in his own words, Kessler wanted to be close to family. "The pandemic affected a lot of people in many different ways. For me, I just realized I wanted to be closer to home," Kessler said.
