Melvin Scott Named to All-ACC Academic Team

Former Tar Heel guard Melvin Scott was named to the 2004-05 All-ACC Academic Basketball Team Wednesday. Scott earned his UNC degree in African Studies in May 2005, averaged 5.1 points per game as a senior in 2004-05, played in all 27 games and made seven starts. He finished third on the team with 45 three-point field goals and shot 35.7 percent from behind the arc.
