Woolen Floor Transformed Into Unique Decor

Pieces of Tar Heel basketball history can now be found within furniture pieces that Richard Wheeler and his partners are creating. The group won a bid last year to tear out the aging wooden floor of Woolen Gym on the University of North Carolina campus to make way for some new hardwood. But then they discovered the emotional pull of the 35,000 square feet of history they had stacked in a warehouse. The floorboards brought back precious memories for the players who shot hoops in the gym and the fans that watched UNC teams over the years, including the 1957 NCAA championship squad. (NBC 17)
