Bernie Bickerstaff, the Charlotte Bobcats' general manager and head coach, stresses that Felton and May were brought in for their basketball ability, not their marketing potential. "These guys happen to be from Chapel Hill, but they also happen to be pretty damn good basketball players," Bickerstaff said. Both were worth taking even if they had no connection to the region, but their marketing spin clearly is a move few others in the draft could match.
