No, Kyle Seager never made a postseason. But the Mariners’ star went out on his own terms.


Maybe we should have known something was up when changed his walk-up song to Eric Church’s “Carolina.” The refrain went: “Like the sound of a siren song, Oh Carolina, ya keep callin’ me home.” Now Seager has headed home to North Carolina, opting to retire rather than pursue free agency. And so Seager walks away as a lifetime Mariner. (Seattle Times)
