UNC defeats VCU to claim regional title, advance to super regionals in NCAA Tournament


North Carolina baseball took the longer road in this NCAA Tournament regional, but that didn’t divert its destination. The Tar Heels defeated VCU 7-3 Monday at Boshamer Stadium, seizing their third must-have win in a row to complete a climb out of the losers bracket that claimed the Chapel Hill Regional title. It’s on to the Super Regionals for UNC. (Burlington Times News)
