Notre Dame will return to the site where one of its greatest players launched his Hall of Fame career almost 47 years ago. The Fighting Irish (1-2) play North Carolina (3-0) on Saturday (3:30 p.m., ABC) at Kenan Memorial Stadium, where on Oct. 11, 1975, a 19-year-old sophomore quarterback named Joe Montana made his varsity debut a memorable one.
