Engineering a Turnaround Often Depends on the Coach

North Carolina -- two years removed from a 3-9 campaign -- is 2-0 for the first time since 2000. Butch Davis attributed the quick turnaround, in part, to an overhaul in attitude and an adaptation in culture. The Tar Heels shifted their thinking from expecting to lose to knowing they were going to win, said Davis. That confidence, players said, emanates directly from the head coach.
