There was certainly no shortage of carpet staring in the North Carolina players lounge Saturday evening. Disbelief. Frustration. Disappointment. All of it had swirled together to turn what should have been a boisterous celebration into a real downer. So much for the Tar Heels’ first 3-0 start since 1997. So much for that inside track in the ACC’s Coastal Division.
