Double Tar Heel Nora El-Khouri Spencer named a Top 10 CNN Hero of the Year


UNC School of Social Work 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award winner Nora El-Khouri Spencer, MSW ’17, a 2001 graduate of North Carolina’s journalism school, is the founder and CEO of Hope Renovations in Carrboro, N.C. Last spring, Spencer was featured in a CNN Hero series about “everyday people doing extraordinary things to change the world.” (UNC.edu)
