For The Love of Sod: Kenan Stadium Preparing for Summer Soccer Surface Shift


Kenan Stadium’s surface has been artificial turf since 2019. But for a few days this July, the stadium will revert to its roots — literally. A temporary grass field will be installed for the Chelsea-Wrexham exhibition match. Gary Paczesny, UNC's Assistant Athletic Director of Communications and Creative Services, has been serving as "sodfather" for the operation. (Chapelboro.com)
