Georgia Tech’s kickoff returns making improvements
Posted Nov 7, 2008
Georgia Tech isn’t last in the ACC in kickoff returns anymore. Roddy Jones returned Florida State’s first kickoff 46 yards, and the Jackets averaged 29.3 yards on four returns — two by Jones, two by Marcus Wright. Now they’re averaging 19.2 yards for the season, ahead of Boston College’s 18.4. “We really made an effort to buckle down on our assignments and the guys blocking really took it to heart,” said Jones.
