UNC senior Karsen Kitchen becomes youngest female astronaut to cross the edge of space


This week, North Carolina senior Karsen Kitchen, went into space as part of Blue Origin’s eighth human spaceflight. The flight marks a significant milestone for the private company and its passengers. Kitchen made history as the youngest female astronaut to cross the Karman Line, the edge of space, located 62.14 miles above the Earth’s surface. (Carolina Journal)
