CPALS, a UNC student-run nonprofit, befriend young cancer patients

Plenty of Tar Heels want to make a tough experience a bit easier for children fighting cancer. Senior Rachel Hodakowski, president of CPALS (Carolina Pediatric Attention, Love and Support), says around 200 students are involved. Hodakowski, who plans to become a physician assistant, notes that CPALS isn’t a pre-health club.
