UNC Defense Shutting Down Lesser Teams, Showing Encouraging Signs

In UNC's 41-6 blowout victory over Richmond Saturday at Kenan Stadium, the Tar Heels delivered defensively and now have prevented opponents from scoring a touchdown in back-to-back games for the first time since 2012. Though both efforts have come against lesser competition, UNC’s defense continued to make strides in the right direction.
