Tar Heels storm past Cavs
Posted Feb 8, 2009
North Carolina stayed patient on a tough day yesterday, solving Virginia's zone defense and getting its seventh consecutive win. UNC won 76-61 despite generating its fewest points all season. Tyler Hansbrough moved into a tie for second place all-time in ACC scoring by helping a second-half run that wore Virginia down, but Danny Green, Wayne Ellington and Ty Lawson were also instrumental in the surge.
