Duke-UNC rivals share prep memories

Oak Hill Academy basketball coach Steve Smith wouldn't allow his players to play fall soccer because it overlapped too much with basketball. But it didn't take much for Ty Lawson to spark the interest of Nolan Smith, his backcourt partner, to play soccer in the spring after they finished that basketball season 40-1. "He was bragging to me that he was just as fast with the soccer ball as he was with the basketball," Nolan Smith remembered.
