Golden-goal heartbreak as No. 1 UNC Field Hockey falls on agonizing overtime bounce

It was national semifinal heartbreak for the second straight season for No. 1 UNC Field Hockey, this time delivered in agonizing fashion. A shot by Northwestern’s Grace Schultze deflected off UNC’s Sietske Bruning and into the cage for a golden goal in overtime, giving No. 3 Northwestern a 4-3 victory Friday. Bruning could only shake her head. (Tar Heel Tribune)
