Positives, negatives from a tumultuous week in the ACC
Posted Feb 17, 2009
Player of the week: With all due respect to Miami’s Jack McClinton, who put up 35 against UNC on Sunday, this week’s honor goes to UNC point guard Ty Lawson. His aggressive second-half performance was the key to the Tar Heels' 101-87 win at Duke. Lawson scored 21 of his season-high 25 points in the final 20 minutes, then followed that with a 21-point performance against Miami, in which he scored his team’s last 11 points.
