How does the College World Series format work?

UNC fans know the math is simple when its basketball teams reach the Elite Eight. But the eight baseball teams in Omaha are divided into two four-team double-elimination brackets, meaning a team must lose twice to get eliminated in bracket play. The two bracket winners advance to a best-of-three championship series beginning Saturday, June 20.
