Ty Lawson has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year, an honor that was well-deserved, even if it was unexpected back in October. With the national player of the year returning in Tyler Hansbrough, it seemed improbable to even Lawson that he had a shot at such an award. (Tar Heel Daily)
