North Carolina Had Clemson on the Ropes, Then the Tar Heels Went Flat

With 8:11 remaining, the Tar Heels faced second-and-goal at the Clemson 8-yard line. It was a prime chance to make it a two-possession game and seemingly bury Clemson's comeback hopes. Instead, the referees cleared the field after lightning was detected eight miles from the stadium. After a two-hour 19-minute delay, the teams retook the field.
