So, life without isn’t so hot after all. North Carolina’s second effort in as many days without their point guard and the 2009 ACC Player of the Year wasn’t as successful as their first. Carolina defeated Virginia Tech on Friday, but the Tar Heels’ defensive lapses and inability to break down Florida State in half-court sets was their eventual undoing in a 73-70 loss in the semifinals Saturday at the Georgia Dome.
