Dustin Ackley Named ACC Player Of The Week

North Carolina junior first baseman Dustin Ackley was named Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Player of the Week Monday for the fifth time in his career, the league office announced. Ackley led No. 1 North Carolina to an unbeaten week by hitting .647 (11-17) with four home runs, seven RBI and seven runs scored. The Walnut Cove, N.C., native also slugged 1.412 and reached base at a .700 clip in four Tar Heel victories.
