UNC smashes Gonzaga
Posted Mar 28, 2009
Ty Lawson gave UNC a quick spark last night in leading a win over Gonzaga in the NCAA Tournament South Regional semifinals. UNC captured a 98-77 victory and led for the final 38:46. Lawson, playing for the second game on a painful jammed big toe, helped UNC forge a 17-point lead in the first half and then withstand a Gonzaga run in the second half. UNC will play Oklahoma in the regional championship game on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. EDT.
