Heels not slowed by Lawson's toe, or Zags
Posted Mar 28, 2009
Ty Lawson didn't start slowly this time. His North Carolina teammates stayed right with him. Gonzaga could not keep up. Five minutes into Friday night's South Region semifinal, the Tar Heels had 19 points. By intermission, they had 53 and were up 11. The Heels didn't slow down much in the second half and finished with a 98-77 victory over a team best described as Carolina Lite.
