But for Quentin Thomas, the short time that he was on the court for North Carolina in the 2005 national championship game against Illinois represents the most glorious 60 seconds of his mercurial college basketball career. It’s an experience that has has made him even more popular than ever among his younger teammates as the Tar Heels prepare for a return trip to the Final Four.
