It was Toe Gate in March. Now it’s Gambling Gate in April. Ty Lawson’s junior season has been filled with drama. His dramatic improvement helped him earn the ACC’s Player of the Year award and he is widely recognized as the best point guard in the nation. He battled a bad toe that was the most talked about body part in the Old North State since his bum ankle dominated discussions on Tobacco Road a year ago. And now Lawson is making news in another way, one his school and the NCAA would rather not deal with.
