Lawson, Ellington say it's time to go
Posted Apr 24, 2009
Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington gathered together in an official capacity one last time at the Smith Center on Thursday to announce their farewells from UNC. The backcourt that led the Tar Heels to the 2009 NCAA championship is off to the NBA. "There's no better way to end it than the way we did," Ellington said. Roy Williams said the feedback he has received from NBA personnel indicates both would be first-round picks in the June 25 draft.
