Dustin Ackley is ACC player of the year


UNC first baseman has been selected as the 2009 ACC baseball player of the year. Ackley, who is batting .405 with 17 home runs and 56 RBIs for the Tar Heels this season, ranks among the top three in the league in eight offensive categories. With 322 career hits, he is just seven away from breaking the UNC school record and his .408 career batting average is No. 1 on the Tar Heels' list. (Raleigh News & Observer)
