UNC rips Coastal
Posted May 31, 2009
North Carolina erupted for 17 hits, led by Levi Michael and Dustin Ackley, and pounded Coastal Carolina 14-5 last night in the winner's bracket game of the NCAA baseball tournament's Chapel Hill Regional. Michael and Ackley each had four hits, which helped North Carolina knock out Cody Wheeler, Coastal Carolina's ace pitcher, in the third inning at Boshamer Stadium and hand him the first loss of his college career in 17 decisions.
