Ackley goes to Seattle: Tar Heels' star the No. 2 pick in baseball draft

Dustin Ackley, welcome to the majors. As expected, the Seattle Mariners chose Ackley, the best hitter available in this year’s Major League Baseball draft, with the No. 2 overall pick on Tuesday night. The Walnut Cove product and former South Stokes and North Forsyth baseball star led the North Carolina Tar Heels to their fourth consecutive College World Series, which kicks off this weekend in Omaha, Neb.
