Hansbrough, Thompson propel 113-74 rout of Mount St. Mary's

North Carolina hitched its wagon last night to its biggest horses and started what it hopes to be a six-game gallop through the NCAA Tournament. North Carolina overwhelmed Mount St. Mary’s 113-74 in an East Regional first-round game at the RBC Center. Dominating the rebounding behind Tyler Hansbrough, Deon Thompson and Alex Stepheson, and running at will behind Ty Lawson, North Carolina never trailed in reaching Sunday’s second round.
