Virginia and Duke did their due diligence with James McAdoo. And undoubtedly were prepared for more. The 6-foot-8 rising junior at Norfolk Christian is that good, among the few prospects worth recruiting despite daunting odds. McAdoo, however, chose predictably. After a weekend campus visit, he pledged Sunday to continue his basketball career at North Carolina. It’s a decision that speaks to family ties and the Tar Heels’ inherent recruiting advantages.
