It's the first game against FSU for Butch Davis since becoming North Carolina's coach before the 2007 season. He was 1-5 against Florida State while head coach at Miami from 1995-2000. This is the first Thursday night football game in the history of Kenan Stadium. The teams are a combined 0-5 in the ACC and at the bottom of their respective league divisions. The Tar Heels earned their only win in the series 41-9 in 2001. (WRAL Sports Fan)
