A week after seeing its postseason hopes put in series peril with a second-half collapse against Florida State, North Carolina rebounded to register probably its biggest win of Butch Davis’ three-year coaching tenure with the Tar Heels. The 20-17 victory at Virginia Tech not only boosted bowl hopes but also served notice to future opponents that the Tar Heels may be ready to live up to preseason expectations. (Rivals.com)
