Still too soon to judge Tar Heels’ football season

Clichés become annoying because they’re used so often and become so worn out that they lose their original meaning. But the truth is, most of those old sayings wouldn’t have become clichés had they not been proven true. So maybe we should listen to football coaches such as UNC’s Butch Davis when they dust off the oldest one in the book and tell us that their teams are “playing them one game at a time.”
