Fifteen coaches in the final Coaches football poll voted for their own team. Of those 15 coaches, 12 ranked their team higher than they finished by an average of six spots better. North Carolina's Butch Davis and Missouri's Gary Pinkel win the prize for biggest inflated votes, with each voting their teams 14 spots higher than where they finished. Oklahoma's Bob Stoops was a close third at 12 spots higher.
